Women on the Frontline
Saturday, August 19th
1:00 - 2:00 PM
Women on the Frontline is a remarkable exhibition featuring conflict photographers, women, courageous journalists who show us, the audience, something we wouldn't normally witness or experience: war, conflict, death, and destruction, but also compassion, bravery, and pride. On display are photographs by Lee Miller, Gerda Taro, Catherine Leroy, Christine Spengler, Francoise Demulder, Susan Meiselas, Carolyn Cole, and Anja Niedringhaus.
Do you want to know what motivated these 8 women to work on the frontline? Anne-Marie Beckmann, curator of the exhibition and director of the Deutsche Borse Photography Foundation, will share more about the work and lives of these photographers and what it means to work as a woman in a male-dominated world.
The guided tour is in English.
Tickets: 2 euros, excluding museum admission
