In BEIRUTOPIA, Lebanese photographer Randa Mirza explores the dramatic changes her hometown of Beirut has undergone. In recent decades, Lebanon has been ravaged by political, financial and social crises.
BEIRUTOPIA is a visual essay, born from a biographical perspective. The exhibition presents several series made between 2000 and 2022 in which Mirza charts the brutal transformation of her homeland, in each case carefully choosing a visual approach that expresses her experiences and feelings.
