The Fotomuseum Den Haag has commissioned the Hague-based artist Marleen Sleeuwits (1980) to create a site-specific installation inspired by Sol LeWitt’s Open Cube series. Sleeuwits’s piece builds on the special bond between the Fotomuseum (and the adjacent Kunstmuseum) and Sol LeWitt that led him to create several site-specific works, which are in the Kunstmuseum’s collection. One of his reliefs adorns the Fotomuseum’s façade.
